Rapper and Producer BeatKing Passes Away at 39, Leaving Behind a Lasting Legacy

His manager, Tasha Felder, announced his death on Instagram on Thursday, August 15, though she did not disclose the cause of death. Instead, Felder chose to highlight the impact BeatKing had on the music industry and the love he had for his two young daughters.

"Today, August 15, we have lost @Clubgodzilla," Felder wrote. "BeatKing has been the best part of the club for over a decade. He has produced and worked with so many artists that his sound will forever live. He loved his daughters @clubgodparenting, his music, and his fans. We will love him forever."

Born and raised in Houston, Texas, BeatKing's journey into music began at a young age, playing drums in church alongside his mother, who was a pianist. He launched his music career in 2010 with his debut mixtape Kings of the Club, which included popular tracks like "Crush" and "Lil TJones." Over the years, BeatKing became a household name in Southern music, particularly in Houston, collaborating with Texas legends like Bun B, Paul Wall, and Chamillionaire, as well as other prominent artists like 2 Chainz and Juicy J.
